I do some contract work for Steve Jackson Games, a wonderful game company. One of the cool projects they recently produced, Cardboard Heroes Castles, is an addition to their great Cardboard Heroes® line of gaming accessories.
There were a few add-on parts I didn't use (the door and window covers), but I did add in the flags and pennants. There are triangular flags as well; these I am planning to fasten to string so I can drape them between the various towers. I used cooking skewers as poles for the flags. The green background is one of those really nifty felt puzzle mats. And of course I had to use my LEGO® mini-figs to add some life to the scenes.
I would like to thank my extremely talented co-worker, Anup Kafle, for helping me actually do the photo shoot. We spent a good chunk of time one evening at work in the conference room getting this ready to photograph, and he was amazingly patient and persistent in getting some truly awesome shots. He does some fantastic photography -- I have a limited edition print of one of his shots gracing my house -- and I'm thrilled he agreed to give me a hand. (And his camera probably cost more than I make in a year.)
